Jim Trickey

Jim Trickey attended Iowa Falls High School and lived in Iowa Falls, Iowa. He was an All-State player all three years in high school.

In 1912, he was selected as 2nd Team All-American at the tackle position, becoming Iowa's first All-American in football. He almost didn't play that season, but a student petition encouraged him to return for his senior year instead of focusing on his studies full-time. He was also unanimously elected as the president of the senior class.

He passed away at an early age from Peritonitis.

His nephew was Ben Trickey.

Born 9/13/1888 and died on 12/5/1913 at the age of 25.
