Walter 'Stub' Stewart

Stub Stewart played quarterback and running back for Iowa. During the 1908 season, he struggled with injuries. He was described as the most versatile "small man" (under 130 pounds) ever to compete at Iowa. He earned nine varsity letters, and was also a captain of the baseball and basketball team. He was named second team All-Western selection in football.

He later became the baseball and basketball head coach.
