FAMOUS QUOTES about Sedrick Shaw

Sedrick Shaw Ross Verba  from Iowa vs. Illinois on 11/2/1996
I think he was just being a wuss, basically. He wasn't running hard like he should have been. And I told him, too. And he was like, 'Yeah, you're right.' So I think that we got to him a little bit and he proved today that he's a tremendous back.

- When asked after the game about Sedrick Shaw's improved performance compared to earlier in the season.

Hayden Fry Hayden Fry  from Iowa vs. Penn State on 10/21/1995 - Link to source
We put him in a deep-sea diving compressor to get the oxygen into the bloodstream quicker. We heard that the National Hockey League had discovered this a couple years ago and it really helps people recover much quicker from various types of injuries and I really think that's the reason he played today. I'm going to have him in that sucker tomorrow morning and if he comes out and it works, then I'm gonna get in it.

- Discussing the unique treatment Sedrick had during the week to recover from a pulled groin injury

Hayden Fry Hayden Fry  from Iowa vs. Northern Illinois on 11/6/1993
No. 42 kind of motivated our backs to run a little harder. I haven't seen Sedrick Shaw run that hard all year. Ryan Terry ran very hard.

- Referring to Northern Illinois' RB LeShon Johnson (#42), who rushed for over 300 yards
