Eric Guthrie          

Eric Guthrie attended Nevada High School and lived in Nevada, Iowa. He was an all-state punter, and was asked to walk-on at Iowa, and after redshirting in 2007, Guthrie finally got his chance to start after Ryan Donahue graduated.

In 2011, he averaged 41.2 yards per punt, and earned honorable mention All-Big Ten accolades, leading a strong special teams unit that ranked first in the Big Ten in net punting and ninth nationally in average punt return yardage allowed.

He was also named a team captain in his senior year, won the Big 10 Conference Football Sportsmanship Award, and was also named Academic All-Big 10.

He was an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012, but was released prior to the season.
