Mark Roussell        

HIGH SCHOOL: Mark Roussell attended Monticello High School and lived in or near Monticello, Iowa. He twice earned 1st team all-conference and was a 2-time team captain. He had 185 tackles and 1,450 yards rushing (850 yards his senior year) over his prep career. He was academic all-state and won the conference in shot put and the 100-meter dash. He chose Iowa over Wisconsin and Colorado State.

COLLEGE: He was injured early in the 1990 season and redshirted, and switched from linebacker to tight end after the 1990 season. He played primarily special teams in the 1991 season and was a reserve tight end for the 1992 season. He was injured again in the 1993 season and missed 3 games. During his final two seasons, he played a significant contribution as a tight end. He finished with 19 catches for 238 yards (12.5 yard average) and one TD against Northwestern.
