Derreck Robinson         

HIGH SCHOOL: Derreck Robinson attended DeLaSalle High School and lived in or near Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was named first team all-metro in Minneapolis and first team all-state and first team all-conference, and named to Best in the Midwest second team. He was honorable mention all-state and first team all-conference as a junior, and was regarded as one of the top two prospects in Minnesota. He was voted best defensive lineman in his conference as a senior and was team captain and defensive MVP. In his prep career, he recorded 104 tackles, 13 QB sacks, 16 pass break-ups and three caused fumbles as a senior while leading DeLaSalle to the 1999 Minnesota state championship. He also had one interception return for a touchdown. He participated in basketball, golf and track and field, and was a member of basketball team that won the state title his junior season.

COLLEGE: His best game was against Wisconsin in 2004, when he finished with six tackles, a forced fumble, and a quarterback hurry. He completed his Hawkeye career with 76 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and four sacks. He forced two fumbles and recovered two fumbles.

PROFESSIONAL: He was an undrafted free agent, and signed with the San Diego Chargers in 2005. He also played for Miami and Cleveland before retiring in 2011.

OTHER: His 1999 state championship football team was inducted into DeLaSalle's Hall of Fame in 2021.
