Frank Rigney      Illinois Wikipedia 

Position(s): OL

Frank Rigney attended Senior High School and lived in East St. Louis, Illinois. He earned all-state and all-American honors, and caught 27 passes his senior year, setting a school record. He agreed to attend Iowa with high school teammate Don Bowen.

At Iowa, he made the shift from end to offensive tackle during the spring of 1956, and lettered all 3 years.

After Iowa, he was drafted in the 4th round of the 1958 NFL draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. He ended up having an outstanding offensive tackle for Winnipeg in the CFL, a 10-year stint from 1958 to 1967. where he won 4 Grey Cups and was named to numerous All-Star teams.

Born 4/9/1936 and died on 6/29/2010 at the age of 74.

Drafted Round 4 by Philadelphia Eagles in 1958
