HIGH SCHOOL: Brad Quast attended Forest View High School and lived in or near Arlington Heights, Illinois. He was heavily recruited by UCLA, Illinois, and Notre Dame, but ultimately selected the Hawkeyes over Michigan.

COLLEGE: He was a starting linebacker for Iowa for all four years from 1986-1989. He was named the top freshman linebacker in the nation by The Sporting News in 1986.

During the 1988 season, he had two games in which he recorded 20 tackles (Iowa State and Colorado). He also led the team with four interceptions, including one against Kansas State that he returned 94 yards for a touchdown, setting a school record.

He was twice named to the first team All-Big Ten team (1988, 1989). He had 435 tackles in his career, which ranked third in school history, and his 11 career interceptions ranked fourth in school history.

PROFESSIONAL: He was selected in the 1990 NFL Draft by the New York Jets in the 10th round, but was released before the season. He played two seasons in the World Football League with the Barcelona Dragons, then signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1992, but was injured and was not able to get back to full strength.
