Cy Phillips         

HIGH SCHOOL: Cy Phillips attended Hoxie High School and lived in or near Hoxie, Arkansas. He was named Best Quarterback under the Sun by the Jonesboro Arkansas Sun. He earned 1st team all-state as a senior and was honorable mention as a junior. He was named 1st team all-conference and team MVP as a junior and senior. He holds the school record for pass attempts, completions, passing yards, passing TDs and total offense for both single season and career. He ended with 194 of 424 passes for 2,777 yards, 18 TDs and 261 rushes for 900 yards (3.4 yard per carry) and 20 TDs.

COLLEGE: He was one of two redshirt freshmen selected to the team’s Leadership Council in 2003, and was involved in four January bowl games during his career. In 2005, he went 1 for 2 in passes for 9 yards.

OTHER: In 2017, he was involved in selling Iowa Wave shirts to help raise money for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. In six years, the shirts raised approximately $2 million.
