Kenneth 'Ken' Pettit attended Logan High School and lived in Logan, Iowa.

COLLEGE: He played the full 60 minutes in games against Purdue, Notre Dame, Minnesota and Northwestern during the 1939 season. In the Notre Dame victory, he recovered the critical fumble on the Notre Dame five-yard line, which led to Iowa's only touchdown.

OTHER: He enlisted in the Navy Air Corps with Nile Kinnick, and they reported for duty in Kansas City for training.
