Lon Olejniczak         

HIGH SCHOOL: Lon Olejniczak attended Decorah High School and lived in or near Decorah, Iowa. He played QB and helped lead his squad to an undefeated regular season and playoff birth in 1978 in Class 3A. He was a Prep Football All-American and the Des Moines Register's pick as elite all-state quarterback. He also played baseball and helped his team make the state basketball tournament. He chose Iowa over Missouri and Nebraska.

COLLEGE: He played many positions at Iowa, including quarterback, kicker, punter, wide receiver, defensive back, linebacker, and tight end. He kicked the decisive 35-yard FG in a huge upset over #7 Nebraska in 1981.

OTHER: He is a member of the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame as a two-time all-state player, and a member of the IHSAA Football Hall of Fame. He is the older brother of Jason Olejniczak.
