HIGH SCHOOL: Demo Odems attended Johnson High School and lived in or near Austin, Texas. His full name is Demosesneeds Odems III, and he attended the same high school as Sedrick Shaw. He chose Iowa over Baylor, TCU, Texas A&M and Houston.

COLLEGE: He was a four-year letterman for the Hawkeyes as a wide receiver. He caught 5 TDs and had over 900 yards receiving in his career. He scored 2 TDs in a 49-42 win over Minnesota in 1994, one on a fumbled punt that he recovered in the end zone, and the other on a 34-yard TD reception from Matt Sherman.

PROFESSIONAL: He played professionally for the Texas Terminators of the Indoor Football League and spent one season with the Grand Rapids Rampage of the Arena Football League. He won the Iron Man Award after playing wide receiver, defensive back and linebacker in leading the Rampage to a victory in Arena Bowl XV.

OTHER: He coached after his playing days were over. He was a graduate assistant at Wisconsin under Bret Bielema. He became head coach of his alma mater high school, and was associate head coach at Stephen F. Austin State University, offensive coordinator at Missouri Southern State University, and offensive coordinator at East Texas Baptist University.
