Dave Moritz attended St. Rita High School in Chicago, Illinois. He averaged 17.5 yards per catch as a Hawkeye, and that ranks first among Iowa’s top 10 career leaders in receiving yards. He also made first-team All-Big Ten as a senior in 1983 with 50 catches for 912 yards and five touchdowns. He finished his career with 109 receptions for 1,912 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
