Ryan Driscoll        

Ryan Driscoll attended Linn-Mar High School and lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was a standout athlete in basketball, baseball and football. He was a blue-chip quarterback recruit who signed with Iowa over Illinois, Notre Dame, Florida State, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. He was listed as one of the five best drop-back-passers in the country by The Sporting News, and earned the Gatorade Player of the Year, as well as Elite All-State by the Des Moines Register.

Driscoll started first six games of the 1994 season before breaking his collar bone, and saw action in 25 games from 1994-1996, throwing for 1,232 yards and four passing touchdowns with nine interceptions. He was the backup to Matt Sherman after being injured in his sophomore season against Indiana, and also was the holder on field goals and PATs during his junior and senior season. He died expectantly from an apparent heart attack.
