RECAP

The Hawks won their 11th straight Big Ten tournament game with an impressive victory over the 6th-seeded Spartans. After giving up a 9-0 run, the Hawks responded with their own run of 16 points in second quarter to take their largest lead of the night at 28-16. After halftime, Michigan State downed back-to-back threes to bring the game within one possession, and eventually took the lead. But Iowa finished strong in the 4th quarter with eight straight points to seal the 13-point victory.

Lucy Olsen led the Hawkeyes with 21 points, nine assists, five rebounds, and four steals. Taylor McCabe followed with 12 points (4 threes), and Hannah Stuelke recorded her 10th career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Ava Heiden recorded a career-high 11 points off the bench, all points coming in the second half.
