The mission was clear. Winner gets into the conference tournament, loser walks off the court for the last time this season. The Hawks responded with a tough road win over the Huskers to keep their season alive.

It started out poorly for the Hawks, falling behind 9-2 early on. An 11-0 run fueled by 3-point shooting got them their first lead at 21-18. The Sandfort brothers scored the final 12 points of the half to give Iowa a 5-point lead at the break. In the 2nd half, Nebraska would cut the lead to two before the Hawks went on a 13-2 run, while making 8-of-10 field goals. The Hawks led 67-54 lead with 10 minutes to play, and kept the Cornhuskers from scoring down the stretch.

Payton Sandfort led Iowa with 22 points and eight rebounds. Pryce Sandfort added 16 points (four three-pointers) and grabbed a career high 11 rebounds to earn his first double-double of his career. Josh Dix added 15 points and grabbed four rebounds, and dished out four assists. Brock Harding added 12 points and 4 assists, making 3-of-5 from beyond the arc.
