RECAP

Roy Bash , who was the starting quarterback to open the season and had lost his job to Kyle Scogman, got the start again. Bash had came in last week against Minnesota and sparked the offense in the fourth quarter. The momentum from last week's finish against the Gophers continued this week, as the Hawkeyes scored 42 points.

Iowa exploded in the second quarter, starting with a 36 yard touchdown pass from Bash to Denny Green . The Hawkeyes took a 27-7 lead to half, and then tacked on 15 more points in the third quarter before pulling it's starters in the fourth quarter.

Bash completed all six of his passes for 113 yards and ran 10 times for 29 yards and was responsible for two touchdowns, one rushing and one passing. Levi Mitchell rushed for 124 yards on 15 carries.
