RECAP

Michigan State had just come off three straight losses to Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan, and were ready to take out their frustrations on the Hawkeyes.

Iowa was only able to gain 109 yards on offense, and did not get deep into MSU territory until the 4th quarter. Sophomore QB Kyle Skogman struggled with 4 of 27 passes for only 54 yards and three interceptions. Ray Cavole suffered a season-ending injury.

Athletic director Bump Elliott was able to watch his son Bob, who played for a high school in Ann Arbor. They played against a Lansing team on Friday night.
