RECAP

Ohio State gained 464 yards of offense to validate their #5 ranking. Iowa showed promise with an early goal line stand early in the game, and recovered 4 fumbles, but couldn't maintain that level of defense. Jon Lazar provided the Hawks with it's only score, a late 2-yard TD run with 1 minute left.

After the game as Woody Hayes was walking over to shake Bob Commings hand, when basketball player, Mike Gatens ran onto the field and took Hayes' hat and ran out of the stadium with it.
