RECAP

The Hawkeyes were never in this game, being completely dominated by Michigan. Iowa once again started Bill Dolan at quarterback who completed 4 passes for 7 yards, before being replaced by Pete Gales who faired a little better completing 6 passes for 58 yards. Dennis Mosely, led Iowa in rushing, gaining 24 yards on 8 carries. However the Hawkeyes finished with 4 total yards rushing because of the all the negative yardage on sacks. Michigan coach Bo Schembechler had this to say about the Iowa team afterwards. "When you come to play Iowa you have to throw because they are so tough against the run. Iowa's defense is underrated, because the offense doesn't move the ball"
