RECAP

Iowa used 3 quarterbacks on the day and scored a touchdown on a half back pass from Rod Morton to Brad Reid in the first quarter. Iowa's second touchdown came on a botched punt by Northwestern, Todd Simonsen scooped up the ball and ran it in for the Hawkeye touchdown. Despite only getting 3 first downs, Iowa led 14-3 at the Half. Pete Gales who was subbed in at quarterback led Iowa to it's only real scoring drive on they day in the 3rd quarter. Reid finished off the drive with a touchdown on a reverse from 10 yards out.
