The game started poorly for the Hawks. They turned it over the first four times down the court without a shot, and the Wildcats opened by making its first six shots. The Hawkeyes rallied to tie the game at 16, and took a 22-20 lead, but trailed by 8 at halftime. Iowa was led by 16 points from Kim Howard and Lisa Anderson.
