RECAP

On a rainy and wet field, Iowa fell to 0-3 in the Big Ten for the first time in Hayden Fry's tenure, and offensive is a big reason. Iowa has scored only two touchdowns in its last three games, all losses, and hit a season-low 201 yards of total offense.

After a Scott Plate interception, the Hawks had the ball on the Indiana 20-yard line, but had to settle for a 36-yard FG from Todd Romano. Indiana added 2 FGs to take a 6-3 lead at halftime, as Iowa struggled to move the ball, gaining only 3 first downs in the 1st half.

After a short punt, Indiana marched down for a TD to take a 13-3 lead. Iowa fumbled the ensuing kickoff, and the Hoosiers added another FG. Bo Porter picked off a pass in the end zone to keep the game in reach. The defense struggled to stop the running game of Indiana and Brett Law, who rushed for 144 yards. The defense was able to block a 38-yard FG in the 4th quarter to keep hope alive.

The offense was finally able to move the ball and drove to the Indiana 4-yard line. On 4th and goal, a screen pass to Ryan Terry resulted in Iowa's first TD, and cut the deficit to 16-10, but with only 2 minutes left in the game, there wasn't enough time to get the ball back.

COACH GAME QUOTES

Hayden Fry I would get myself in deep, deep trouble if I commented at all, because I am just furious. I can't comment. You ask our athletic director or our President
