RECAP

The game was never really close, as the #2 seed Utah defeated #3 seed Iowa. The Utes led by as many as 18 points in the first half and had a 13-0 scoring run late in the half, but Iowa closed the first half on a 9-3 scoring run, and were down only 5 points early in the 2nd half. But they didn't have an answer for Utah's 3-point shooting and big centers.

Payton Sandfort scored just five points on 1-of-11 shooting from the field, after scoring 30 points in the last game. Tony Perkins was held to just three points in 24 minutes, and didn't play at the end of the game.
