LSU's hot shooting was too much for the Hawks in their first ever National Championship finals game. The Tigers went 6-for-7 from three to take a, 59-42 lead at half. The Hawks fought back to within 7 points, but controversial fouls and technicals seemed to end the comeback. The attendance broke the record for the largest attended game in NCAA Tournament Championship history.

Caitlin Clark finished with 30 points, eight assists, and two rebounds, including 8 threes. Monika Czinano finished with 13 points and 6 rebounds in her final game as a Hawkeye. Kate Martin had 13 points and six assists.
