RECAP

The Hawks ended the season on the road at Illinois, who were trying to earn a share of the Big Ten title with an upset loss by Wisconsin earlier in the day. Iowa led 45-28 in the first half, but Illinois scored 9 straight to end the half. They lost the lead early in the 2nd half, then went on their own brief streak, but the offense struggled most of the half, especially at the free throw line (10 of 22, 46%). A game-winning 3-pointer by Kris Murray did not go in at the end of the game. Keegan Murray had 22 points and 11 rebounds, Tony Perkins had 17 points and 12 boards and Kris Murray added 13 points.
