RECAP

Fran McCaffery tested positive for COVID-19, so assistant coach Billy Taylor took over in his absence. The staff made their first, big lineup change of the season by replacing Joe Toussaint with Tony Perkins, and moving Jordan Bohannon back to point guard. The Hawks struggled on defense and got off to another slow start. They gave up 5 points in the last 3 seconds, trailing 38-34 at halftime.

But the Hawks came out motivated in the 2nd half, and held the Gophers to 21 points the rest of the way. Keegan Murray scored 24 points and collected 15 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Patrick McCaffery finished with 18 points.
