Head Coach: Hayden Fry
Attendance: 66,532
Start Time: 1:00 pm CST

Redshirt freshman QB Matt Sherman stole the show in his first start, completing 19 of 24 passes for 331 yards. The Hawkeyes' 602 yards of total offense and five turnovers on defense brought back a glimpse of the past for Iowa coach Hayden Fry. It was Iowa's 21st straight win over the Wildcats.

Harold Jasper got things started in the first quarter when he reeled in a 26-yard pass, for his 100th career reception. While reaching the century mark was a milestone, Jasper's 101st catch was bigger. Two plays later, he made a diving grab in the end zone for the first score of the afternoon.

Free safety Bo Porter led the Hawks with 10 tackles, one interception, and his first career touchdown when he picked up a punt blocked by Jason House in the third quarter.

Sedrick Shaw rushed for 114 for the game, including a 19-yard touchdown run. He needs only 71 more yards to reach 1,000 yards on the season.

Ryan Terry gave the seniors' farewell an appropriate ending. He broke away and took the ball 71 yards for the Hawkeyes' final touchdown late in the game.

Parker Wildeman The fans are unbelievable. I don't think a college player in the United States can play at a better place than Kinnick Stadium

Hayden Fry I know I can say with validity, they dislike us more than any other team in the Big Ten and have through the years. They used to even copy our weight lifting program and everything else because they got beaten up more physically when they played Iowa than anyone else. When (lowa offensive line) Coach (Frank) Verducci was on the staff at Northwestern, they had one banner in the locker room - 'Beat Iowa.' Not 'Beat Ohio State' or 'Beat Michigan' everything was concentrated on beating Iowa.
