Head Coach: Hayden Fry

RECAP

Eric Ball, a second-string freshman tailback, scored four touchdowns and ran for 227 yards. Ronnie Harmon lost four fumbles in the first half. UCLA also got surprise play from Matt Stevens, the substitute quarterback. He passed for one touchdown and scored on a half-yard quarterback sneak. Chuck Long completed 29 of 37 passes for 319 yards and a touchdown for Iowa, but was sacked for a total of 34 yards.

Note: The Rose Bowl is where UCLA plays its home games, but since its a bowl game, I marked it as a neutral site.
