The inaugural "Floyd of Rosedale" game. Governor Floyd B. Olson of Minnesota and Governor Clyde Herring of Iowa made a friendly wager on the game's outcome with a champion pig to help reduce racial tensions between the two teams. It later became a bronzed statue.
