RECAP

Iowa field was partially covered in snow, as the Hawkeyes were outplayed by Northwestern. Iowa was outgained in yardage 264-82, and managed only 9 first downs to Northwestern's 21. On the first play from scrimmage Northwestern had a 77-yard touchdown called back because both teams were lined up offsides. Northwestern would later score in the 1st period to go ahead 7-0. The teams traded touchdowns in the 2nd quarter. But that would be the end of the scoring as both teams failed to score in the 2nd half. Iowa lost 13-6.
