Ronnie Lester capped off a special night with 15 points in a comeback 75-71 victory. Prior to the game, he was honored for his 1,599 career points and many accolades by having his number 12 retired. He also returned from a knee injury earlier in the season, wearing a brace on his right knee. The win helped solidify Iowa's NCAA tournament bid. Mark Smith scored 27 points for the Illini on 10-15 shooting.
