John O'Hara

He started his coaching career at the high school level. Baylor named him offensive coordinator in 1973 where he coached for 9 seasons. He became the head coach at Southwest Texas State University (Texas State University) from 1983 to 1989, compiling a record of 36–41. He joined the Iowa staff as offensive line coach in 1990, helping lead the Hawks to the Rose Bowl and Holiday Bowl (10-1-1 regular season record) in his two seasons.

He died of a heart attack on an Iowa football coaches cruise in the Caribbean prior to the 1992 season.

Born 1/13/1944 and died on 2/22/1992 at the age of 48.
