Jan Jensen  

She played basketball at Drake, and she led Division I women's basketball in scoring that season, finishing with 29.6 ppg under first-year head coach Lisa Bluder (both would become future Iowa head coaches). She was named a Kodak Honorable Mention All-American, a member of the All-Gateway team, and the GTE Academic All-American Player of the Year. After her playing career, she joined Bluder's staff at Drake from 1993-2000. When Bluder was named the Iowa coach, she turned down the head coaching job, and joined her as an assistant coach at Iowa from 2000-2023. After Bluder retired following the 2023-24 season, she was named head coach.
