Tom Cecchini

He was a linebacker at Michigan under Iowa Athletic Director Bump Elliott, and was all-Big Ten. He was head coach at Xavier before joining the Iowa staff for the 1974 season. He was linebackers coach for the 1974, 75 and 79 seasons, with one season as defensive coordinator in 1978. His last name is pronounced Cha-kee-nee.

Born 9/12/1944 and died on 8/30/2023 at the age of 78.
