Chuck Long 'Destined for Greatness' Book Released 10/31/2019 - Chuck Long is one of the most famous and successful quarterbacks in Iowa football history. It's a little strange this book hasn't come out earlier. The full book title is "Chuck Long: Destined for Greatness: The Story of Chuck Long and Resurgence of Iowa Hawkeyes Football" I had forgot that Chuck Long was born in Norman, Oklahoma. When he joined Bob Stoops on the Oklahoma staff in 1999 (after successfully transitioning from Hayden Fry to Kirk Ferentz), and won a National Championship in 2000, he mentioned that his dad was so happy, since he grew up a big Sooner fan.
