RECAP

When #9 Wisconsin and #17 Iowa took the field in 2004, the Big Ten Championship was on the line. The Hawkeyes defeated the Badgers to earn Kirk Ferentz his second Big Ten title as the Iowa head coach. The Hawkeyes forced four turnovers, turning three of them into 13 second-half points. They picked off QB John Stocco twice and recovered two fumbles. Drew Tate connected with Clinton Solomon for 2 TDs, and Kyle Schlicher kicked 3 FGs. The loss prevented Wisconsin and coach Barry Alvarez from going to the Rose Bowl.
