In Iowa's final game of the season, the Hawkeyes defeated Illinois in their first ever meeting by a 58–0 score. So outmatched were the Illini that both sides agreed to shorten the second half by ten minutes. Willis Edson scored 5 TDs. James Brockway, Ray Morton, John Griffith, Emmett Burrier and Ernest Little also scored TDs for the Hawks.
