RECAP

Mark Gannon had his best collegiate performance, scoring 19 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the field, and 5-for-5 from the line. Steve Carfino and Kenny Arnold both scored 14 points.

The fans erupted late in the first half when Greg Stokes slammed home one of a series of steals, which helped Iowa take an 11-point lead at the break. OSU got to within 4 points late in the game, but couldn't get any closer.

The Hawks snapped a 4-game losing streak to the Buckeyes and 3-straight losses at home. Iowa remained in first place in the conference with a 7-1 record.
